Now imagine being back in 1966 and witness the following image by photographer Terry O’Neill, where Raquel Welch was on the verge of stardom for her role in One Million Years BC. O’Neill claimed that this piece was a reflection on the ideal of womanhood of the time, as women were valued only for their sexuality. Fans probably didn’t care for the deep thought… but controversy brewed nevertheless. As you can guess, the real official poster presented a less provocative Raquel pose… but still sexy.
