At The Nightclub (1966)
In addition to playing cheesy guitars, their big attraction was that they were topless! Reportedly, they were fine musicians as well. After being hassled by NJ authorities, they started gigging westward in Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas where they were a little more welcome.
They also played the famous Blue Bunny Club in Hollywood in the late 60's. The Ladybirds were also featured in the 1968 film, "The Wild, Wild World of Jayne Mansfield"
If anyone find more about this band ...pls notify me :)

Hello there. I recently stumbled on this article while doing a ton of research on The Ladybirds. I am working on a small book that attempts to lay out all the information I have found in interviews, photos and newspaper articles. All I can tell you is that this ensemble of lovely ladies had a heck of an adventure.
The Ladybirds dealt with cease orders from the musicians union, arrested for performing topless in NY and other venues and were even banned from Mexico! It is an incredible piece of history that nobody knows about. The Ladybirds is a very interesting byproduct of the time and footnote in american history and I'm really excited to be working.
