The Making of Cat People (1942 & 1982)

Whether you're a fan of Jacques Tourneur's often imitated 1942 classic or Paul Schrader's oversexed 1982 remake (which barely resembles the original), here's a wealth of printed information on the making of both versions of CAT PEOPLE. I'd planned to get this online before TCM aired the original this morning, but it just didn't happen...
First up, we have an article from a 1982 issue of Cinefantastique about the making of the original flick. Brimming with little-known information about the film, including details about scenes that were planned but scrapped for various reasons, this one's essential reading for fans of the movie.

And here's the larger portion of the "Cinefantastique" article about the 1982 version of CAT PEOPLE. From the innovative makeup to deleted scenes, this article covers it all. Also included is a coverstory on the movie from "American Film" and an article about 1982's Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror films from a 1983 issue of "Twilight Zone Magazine" which includes an amusing quasi-review of the film.
