A former actor named Travis Anderson lives in a castle with only his two bodyguards to keep him company. It just so happens that a book publisher and his crew sneak in to take some photos, thinking the castle empty. When they are discovered they are asked to leave immediately. But then Travis recognizes one of the girls as his former girlfriend Edith. He relents and lets them all stay the night. It isn't long before the evil spirit of a former resident known as 'The Crimson Executioner' is released by accident. When naval construction designer Oliver Reed (Kent Smith) sees Serbian born beauty Irena Dubrovna (Simone Simon) at a zoo, he flirts with her, and soon they fall in love and marry. Complications arise because Irena believes she is the victim of an ancient Serbian curse that causes her to turn into a panther if a man tries to make love to her, and the marriage is not consummated. Oliver sends Irena for treatment with psychiatrist Dr. Louis Judd (Tom Conway), and Oliver seeks "consolation" with his colleague Alice Moore (Jane Randolph). Irena becomes jealous when she learns that she may be losing Oliver to Alice. 
Superb turn of the last century short flick. Spotlighting some very cool effects for the time. Well worth the download. This sez it's about Nicotine... but you watch it and decide. It's at The archive so there's several file formats to pick from.
